STR Consultants, part of the well-respected Chicago architecture firm STR Partners, contracted Two J's Industries to handle the delicate metal roof restoration for 2150 River Walk in Wheeling. After only six years the roof was exhibiting coating and sealant failure, chronic rusting, movement of metal ribs and metal end cap failure.
The reconditioning project consisted of the cleaning, metal repair and coating of 20,000 square feet of existing factory applied Kynar coated metal standing seam panel roof. STR Consultants, with the help of Two J's Industries, developed a detailed specification and scope of work plan to remediate all corrosion and repair/recoat all of the 20 story building's metal roof systems.
